Rerouting of bus routes at Essen Main Station:
Due to the first construction phase of the "Citybahn Essen", various bus routes are rerouted since January 8th, 2024. You can find an overview >here (German). The journey to the ATLANTIC with subway line U11 is not affected.

 Changed directions during "Gruga Summer Festival":
Please note the changed >directions from July 8th until July 26, 2024.

Travelling with Deutsche Bahn:
 From 22.04.2024 to 02.08.2024, Deutsche Bahn will be renewing the tracks on the lines between Duisburg and Essen or Oberhausen. This will require the lines to be completely closed. As a result, there will be considerable restrictions on train services. Please therefore make sure to check your train connections.

Approach from direction east / A40:
Please note, that motorway A40 will be closed starting 06.08.2024 due to bridge work between interchange Bochum-West and the Bochum. Corresponding detours are signposted. The duration of the closure is planned for 15 weeks. Please allow sufficient time for your journey from direction Bochum / Dortmund.

Please note that the environs are valid throughout the Ruhr area and that a green environmental badge is required for the driveway. The entrance with a red or yellow plaque is prohibited.
Please note furthermore, that it is not possible to reserve parking spaces within our underground parking. In particular during fairs and special events the number of parking spaces is very limited.

Arriving by plane, your destination is Düsseldorf Airport. With over 500 departures and landings every day, he offers flights to over 170 cities in Germany and abroad.

By taxi you can reach us from the airport in about 20 minutes with a short way over the motorways A44 and A52.

From the Düsseldorf airport railway station you can choose between three ICE lines (40/45, 10 and 41), which will take you to Essen main station in just 22 minutes. There are also three regional express trains (RE1, 6 and 11) to the Essen main station, next to the S-Bahn (S1). There is a direct underground connection from the Essen main station to the hotel. Fare: € 13.60 per adult*.

From Essen main train station you can reach us with a direct underground connection (U11) in 4 stations / 5 minutes, get off at the "Messe Ost / Gruga" stop, exit at "Messe Ost / Gruga". The hotel is located directly opposite the underground station, exit "B", price € 3,10* per person.
