On the occasion of the 29th CDU party congress in Essen, we had the pleasure of welcoming Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel to the ATLANTIC Essen. Besides the head of the government, the CDU federal board, the organisational team of the CDU federal administrative office and the capital city press chose the ATLANTIC as their place for an overnight stay. For us at the hotel it was an exciting but logistically ambitious challenge, for while the last motor show guests were leaving, the security precautions for the prominent guests were just getting started.
